What style to go for this Valentines Day

Our favourite Valentine’s Day styles

We only get to do Valentine’s Day once a year, so choosing the perfect style we want to go for can be tricky! The best place to start is what plans you have for the special day this year, but even then it can still be difficult to decide exactly how you want to look. We’ve put together a few options for you to choose from, and then you can take some inspiration from here and create the perfect look for whatever it is you’re doing this year. Keep reading for some of our favourite styles to go for on Valentine’s Day.

Sweet and simple

For a casual date go for something sweet and simple. If you’re opting for a more casual affair this Valentine’s Day that doesn’t mean you can’t incorporate the day into your outfit. Black turtleneck, red mini skirt, black tights, red boots, red lipstick and you’re ready to go! It’s always fun to feel like you’ve put a bit more effort into planning your outfit, and a holiday is the best time to do this. If you want to take it a step further you can choose items with hearts on them, such as a heart-shaped bag, to really add that last touch of Valentine’s Day in there.

Sexy and sophisticated

What better time to dress like a bombshell than on Valentine’s Day? If you really want to be a showstopper, go for something that’s sexy but also sophisticated. This is the perfect enticing combination that shows you off while also adding a touch of class to your outfit. Now, this doesn’t have to be a skin-tight dress, you can have the same impact with a pair of skinny jeans and a flattering top. This style is based on a mixture of outfit and confidence because we all know when you look good you feel good, and that definitely shows.

Bright and bold

A lot of people will be going with tones of red and pink for Valentine’s Day, so why not stand out? If you really want to catch people’s attention this year, do something different. This doesn’t mean you have to steer clear of red and pink, but rather than pair one of the colours with a more muted tone, why not wear both? Pink and red go with each other, so there’s nothing stopping you from going all out and wearing both colours. Get adventurous with what you have in your wardrobe and try out some different colour matches that you wouldn’t typically go for.

No matter what style you go for, the most important thing is to make sure you feel confident. Finding an outfit that really makes you feel good about yourself will help you to embody whatever style it is you want to go for this year. Remember, the key to a good outfit is making sure it fits you right. If you think you’ve found the one, but the fit feels off, remember alterations are always an option.
